Press F1 For Help

The Power Of The F1 Key. Most do not know there is a tiny technician hiding in your computer, waiting to help you with any problem or question you have regarding hardware or software. Just press the F1 key in any program you are in and help is activated. If you’re on the Windows desktop, the Help and Support launches when you press F1. If you’re in Outlook, the help dialogue box appears. It even works in your web browser.

Granted, this is a very generalized support system, but it does contain a lot of useful information that could get you through a sticky situation. It will instruct you on how to setup printers, remote desktop support, file sharing and other tasks that can help you get the most out of your Windows experience.
So the next time you have a question on how to perform maintenance on your computer, or if you need to know how to add a signature to your email in Outlook, simply press the F1 key for help. Even if you do not need immediate assistance, it is a great way to learn how to do various things in case you need to do them in the future.
